The flamethrower is a short range weapon that does damage over time. Whilst the damage is relatively low, continuous hits can be lethal rather quickly. Furthermore, the flamethrower's visually grotesque appearance makes it harder for enemies to determine the exact location of the wielder. Nevertheless, the flamethrowers biggest weakness is that beyond it's own range, it is almost a beacon for people to follow and get an easy kill from medium and long ranges.

The Flamethrower is a Heavy class weapon designed to engage multiple opponents at once, dealing sustained close range damage that also sets opponents on fire.

The Flamethrower can be selected as the weapon of any Heavy build loadout.
