MultiCo's logo

MultiCo Entertainment Holdings is the entity that owns and controls THE FINALS game show.

At some point prior to or during 1982, MultiCo was founded. Over time, it grew in size and eventually either created, or came into ownership of, THE FINALS, a virtual reality game show in which contestants compete to earn fame and fortune. The game show has a massive global audience, and attracts several sponsors that help fund the show to promote their brand and products. Some of these sponsors, such as HOLTOW, ISEUL-T, and ENGIMO, are subsidiaries of MultiCo.

In most likely the 1980s, MultiCo developed an operating system called MuCoDOS. It features a command line interface similar to that of the Commodore 64. The system may have been, or still is, involved in operating parts of the game show.

Ahead of CNS's major attack on the game show, a member named "4RCU5" leaked a confidential and heavily censored document belonging to MultiCo. Following the full break-in, MultiCo enlisted the services of VAIIYA to contain and remove CNS's presence. This resulted in the AI controlling THE FINALS to transport the game show setting to 16th century feudal Japan.

MultiCo later sent representative Marcel (nicknamed "Merciless Marcel") to speak directly to the sponsors of THE FINALS and reduce the focus on some of CNS's changes, instead putting more of the spotlight on the sponsors themselves.

MuCoDOS interface

MuCoDOS is an operating system owned and likely developed by MultiCo. It appears to date to the 1980s, and bears resemblance to the interface of the Commodore 64 (C64). "MuCo" is short for "MultiCo" and "DOS" is short for "Disk Operating System."

When selecting the credits from the main menu of THE FINALS, the MuCoDOS interface briefly appears. The words "LOAD CREDITS" are typed as a command, the screen flashes, and the credits screen starts. At the top left of the interface is the name "MuCoDOS."

Certain information about the operating system is listed below the title. The copyright is set in 1982, the same year that the C64 was released. As expected, the owner of the operating system is MultiCo. The current version number is listed next, and lastly, the date that the current season of THE FINALS launched. Between Season 2 and Season 3, the version number changed from 76.3.17 to 76.4.01.
