The Pyro Grenade is a Light, Medium and Heavy class thrown gadget that sets an area on fire to deal damage over time.

Usage

The Pyro Grenade can be selected as one of three gadgets of any Light, Medium or Heavy build loadout.

Holding the primary trigger will prepare a high-velocity overhand throw. Holding the secondary trigger will prepare a low-velocity underhand throw. While preparing a throw, the gadget's trajectory is indicated up to the point where it triggers on impact. Releasing the trigger will execute the throw, whereas swapping to a different item will cancel it.

Stats

Effects

The Pyro Grenade can be deployed by throwing it. The moment it impacts on a surface or contestant, it instantly spreads fire to all surfaces in a spherical area, even through walls. Any contestants that come into contact with the fire take contact damage over time and will also be set on fire for a few seconds to take additional damage.

The fire will quickly spread to nearby foliage, and if there is goo nearby, it instantly engulfs the goo in flames and destroys it after a few seconds.

Properties

Gadget

Grenade — Can be thrown like a grenade, meaning overhand or underhand. The trajectory and impact point are shown as an indicator.

Single Charge — Can be used once, then recharges automatically over the cooldown time.

Projectile

Projectile — Gets affected by gravity and has a travel time.

Trigger on Impact — Can fly for any amount of time and triggers when the projectile collides with a surface or contestant.

Interceptible — Can be removed by the APS Turret, nullifying its effects. This causes the turret to lose some health.

Reshapeable — Can be reshaped by the Data Reshaper into a piece of decor by opponents.

Not Damaging — Hitting a contestant directly with the projectile does not deal damage.

Not Destructible — Cannot be destroyed by receiving damage such as from bullets or explosions.

Fire

Attached — Attaches to a surface upon deployment. Sticks to the surface even if it moves. Weighs down any carriable object it is attached to.

Incendiary — Creates fire, which can spread to nearby goo and foliage and burn them down. It can also light up contestants.

Damaging — Deals damage to contestants.

Friendly Fire — Can damage both the user and their teammates.

No Structure Damage — Cannot be used to damage structures.
