The Data Reshaper is a Medium class gadget that instantly transforms one or multiple objects, polymorphing opponents' deployed gadgets and transforming arena carriables into various barrels.

Effects

The Data Reshaper can be deployed by activating it while facing any reshapeable object. All reshapeable objects in the targeted direction will be reshaped under the following rules:

• Barrels are transformed into other barrels.
• Enemy turrets and trap gadgets are transformed into decor.
• Furniture is transformed into barrels.

Usage

The Data Reshaper can be selected as one of three gadgets of any Medium build loadout.

While the gadget is held, an indicator will show which objects will be affected by a potential activation of the Data Reshaper. The gadget has a long effective range, and will affect all objects between the maximum range of the targeted direction and the user.

Properties

Gadget

Targeted — Can be activated while targeting one or multiple reshapeable objects.

Multiple Charges — Can be used 2 times. When a charge is used, it automatically recharges over the cooldown time.

No Deployment Limit — Can be deployed any number of times.

Effect

Permanent — Once reshaped, objects will not turn back into their original form.

Usable by Opponents — Can be used by opponents to their advantage. Specifically, any barrels created can be used by all teams.

Disabling — Reshapes reshapeable gadgets into harmless decor objects.

Not Damaging — Does not inflict damage.

No Structure Damage — Cannot be used to damage structures.

Strategy

Strengths

• The Data Reshaper is an effective counter to opponents using defensive gadgets such as the Guardian Turret and the Gas Mine. The Data Reshaper can instantly transform multiple gadgets into a harmless object.
  • For example, if there are two turrets in a room, the two charges of the Data Reshaper will quickly deal with them both. If there are mines planted on or around a Cashout Station, a Data Reshaper usage aimed at the station will take out every nearby mine at once.

Weaknesses

• The Data Reshaper cannot create a Glitch Barrel, which is often one of the most versatile barrels. It is unknown whether this is a bug.

Tactics

• Weapons that would normally have trouble taking out a Guardian Turret such as the Model 1887 or the Riot Shield can be complemented by the Data Reshaper.
• It is possible for no barrels to be present in a round. The Data Reshaper can be used to transform several decor pieces into barrels.

Item Mastery

Item mastery XP for the Data Reshaper can be earned solely by activating it.

Each time a certain XP threshold is reached, the item levels up. This does not improve the item, but rewards a unique item customization.
