Five Roses
In the park, near the bench, there are five roses. Rob has confirmed that they are related to an easter egg. They were first discovered during Closed Beta 1.[1]
On February 3, 2024, Embark Studios CCO Rob Runesson shared "CCLXIX", 269 in roman numerals, as a clue.[2] This was confirmed to be a reference to 269 AD, the year Saint Valentine died.[3]
During the May 8, 2024 Embark Studios AMA on r/thefinals, the team was asked for a hint towards the purpose of the roses; they replied with "Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum".[4] A month earlier on April 6, 2024, Rob had made the same response to a comment about a so called "bean EE".[5] The later AMA reply suggested that the roses and "bean EE" were the same easter egg, possibly relating to Jack and the Beanstalk.
