Vaults are objects that appear in the arena periodically. A contestant must trigger its unlocking sequence to free its contents. In Cashout, vaults contain a Cash Box to be delivered to a Cashout Station. In Bank-It, vaults contain coins instead.

Overview

Vaults are stationary objects that can only be moved if the floor they are on collapses. The vault is ready to be unlocked after an initial spawning animation. A contestant needs to interact with the vault, which will trigger an automatic opening sequence. Once opened, the vault will disappear after ejecting its contents.

There are a few dozen fixed locations per arena where vault spawns can occur.

Each vault has an assigned index on its indicator. This number increments from 1 to 6. Contestants can aim their pings at the vault indicator, which will place the ping at the vault's location.

Cash Box Vault

One vault (or two vaults in Tournament Knockout rounds) will appear at the beginning of the game, ready to be unlocked. Additionally, each time a Cashout Station finishes cashing out, a new vault will begin to spawn at a random location in the arena.

The team who activates the vault first is instantly awarded $1,000. After the opening sequence, a Cash Box will pop out.

Game mode Starting vaults Maximum vaults
Tournament Finals (2 teams) 1 3
Quick Play (3 teams) 1 4
Tournament Knockout (4 teams) 2 6

Coin Vault

In Bank-It, coin vaults spawn automatically at an interval of 20 seconds, though the next spawn will be put on hold if there are three unopened vaults in the arena. Their opening process is instantaneous, after which it ejects a number of coins depending on its cash value. This value is shown under the vault's indicator.

The value of coin vaults scales linearly from $3,000 at the beginning of a game up to $10,000 around the middle of the game, where it will remain until the end.

Although the game mode has numbered vaults, after the sixth vault the index on the indicator will start showing numbers from 1 to 6 that no longer count up correctly. This error affects neither gameplay nor the value of vaults.
