The smoke grenade is great for blocking sight lines that you don't want to be spotted from, such as a street, and allows players to move around and change direction without being seen by others. It can also be very useful for dissipating incendiary grenades and wildfires that may occur due to foliage catching fire. Smoke grenades can be countered by light builds using thermal vision, which allows them to see through smoke.
