Old Town Monaco was the first map for THE FINALS to be teased, with streets lined with the flag of Monaco appearing in the first game teaser, published by Embark Studios on Twitter in November 2021.

Old Town Monaco was the first (and only) map to be released for the Closed Alpha playtest for THE FINALS, on September 29, 2022.

The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception (also known as Saint Nicholas Cathedral), as seen in this concept art for THE FINALS, features in the Old Town Monaco map. And is seen being hit by a Meteor Shower in this image.
