Overview
The Breach Charge is a Light Build exclusive gadget that can be used to breach and enter through walls/floors and is the weaker variant of the C4 Charge.
Uses & Interactions
The Breach Charge is a useful tactical addition to the Light Build's arsenal.
A contestant can place a maximum of two Breach Charges at once, and deploying additional charges will replace the oldest charge. The gadget deals exactly 199 damage to enemies for a direct hit. Like other explosives, the Breach Charge will do damage to the user if it explodes too close to them. It has a fuse timer, meaning it cannot be detonated until 1.9 seconds after it has been deployed (unless damaged). A yellow LED will glow on the remote device when it has been deployed, and will turn green when it is ready to be detonated.
It can be used to easily destroy equipment such as Guardian Turrets and Ziplines. It can also be used to breach holes through floors/ceilings and walls as the name suggests, letting contestants make a quick shortcut through a building. This can be extremely useful Is arenas such as Las Vegas where the interiors can be quite mazelike.
The arena destruction properties of the charge also allows the user to bring objectives to them if they so wish. By detonating the explosive beneath the floor of the given objective, the user can cause the objective to fall right into their lap.
The Breach Charge can be used in tandem with arena carriables to create anything from deadly bombs with the Oil Barrels and Explosive Canisters, to on-demand cover with the Goo Barrel.
It also has a very niche use with the Goo Grenade, allowing for a clever strategy of blowing a hole through a wall and deploying Goo to create a platform to shoot through the hole. This will create an unexpected sightline and allow the user to catch enemies off guard.
The Breach Charge is also capable of toggling buttons when detonated.
